Taking a Florida Parenting Class Online

Although parenting classes are not required for expecting parents or couples raising children, they are required for any married couple who wishes to divorce in Florida when children under the age of 18 are involved. Because of this, the Florida parenting course is sometimes referred to as the “divorce class.”

Florida DCF must approve the four-hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course, regardless if it’s taken in-person or online. American Safety Council is an approved provider, offering an affordable, easy-to-take online parenting class.

Even if you wish to simply separate from your spouse and not file for divorce, a parenting class can be beneficial. The course will help you and your spouse understand the dynamics of your family, the changing relationships and how the process of separation and/or divorce will impact your children.

Co-parenting isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be impossible. Taking a parenting class can be the first step in making a smooth transition for you and your kids.
